Where Curiosity Leads the Way
The Fort Worth Sudbury School is a self-directed democratic school that empowers students aged 7-18 to develop organically, participate in the democratic governing of the school, explore a wide variety of experiential and learning opportunities, and experience autonomy within a vibrant and caring community.
We celebrate every student’s unique potential in our diverse community designed for growth.

Our School
Our mission is to provide high quality, student-centered education to all students through the use of democratic processes and self-directed education, in an environment that embraces diversity, creativity, and the joy of learning through living.
Our Mentors
FWSS mentors serve as role models, encourage students to stretch their minds, and help with administrative tasks.
Our Future
As a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, FWSS will continue to serve DFW families in an affordable environment for years to come, while continuing to redefine the landscape of learning and empower students to thrive in an ever-changing society.
